Last month, I talked about the ‘Samson Syndrome’, something feared by middle aged men–loss of hair. Statistics show that most men have a 50% chance of experiencing hereditary hair loss by their 50th birthday.

There are hundreds of hair loss products used as hair loss remedies and treatments. Topical application of Ketoconazole, which is both an anti-fungal and a potent reductase inhibitor, is often used as a supplement to other approaches. Propecia and Rogaine are drugs that have reported having shown some success in partially reversing loss but consider the side effects.

Even vodka, cayenne pepper olive oil and rosemary have found places as remedies for hair loss, but nothing beats the natural results of a hair transplant. For more information, check out Foundhair.com (Foundation for Hair Restoration). The site discusses the hair transplant procedures with pages about hair surgery, hair replacement, hair transplant photos, hair transplant cost and more.

You’ll also find some of the best known Miami and New York hair transplants surgical and consultancy offices.

That’s a great story! My boyfriend is very self conscious of the fact that he’s going bald.. actually I think he looks great but he’s thinking about getting one of those hair grafting things. We were looking into it but it is very expensive. I am not sure it’s worth it. We tried that whole shampoo thing.. doesn’t work.

    hi Susie,

Thank you for extending your point of view.

I put this story up purely for commercial reasons, but personally I don’t think it matters if men start getting bald. I mean, it’s a natural phenomenon, designed by Mom Nature. What’s to worry if you’re going with the flow.

Besides, I recall reading a survey by some news company (or MSN) last year — it reported that more than 55 per cent of women thought that men with a receding hairline were more attractive than men with full hair.

lol… I just think about the episode in the Sex and The City where Miranda is on a date with this guy who just had his hair grafting done and at the end she snaps.. at least I don’t have a science experiment growing on top my head (or something like that.. I think she said petrie dish… can’t spell it rigth arrrrgh.) Fake hair, no hair, full set of hair.. it’s all about confidence… ;)

I recall very vaguely this episode where Miranda does date a balding man…. though the end skips my head at the moment.

    You said it right Susie.

Hair, or what kind of hair, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is if you can look someone in the eye.
