I do believe that one’s body constitution has something that decides how much sleep is adequate for one, since I often see folks with barely four hours of sleep a day, bouncing with energy and enthusiasm. Then again, if you’re suffering from lack of sleep, that’s a whole new ball game.

While sleep is required to regenerate some parts of the body, certain levels of sleep are also needed to keep your brain in top condition — alert and be able to concentrate. Those who suffer sleep deprivation, may resort to sleep aids to produce the required amount of sleep.

Sleeping aids such as pills can help you sleep better especially when you’re going through a period of stress or even suffering from jet-lag. Used appropriately, sleep aids can be safe and beneficial. There is a myth about sleep aids could be addictive. While it depends partly on person using them — and the way they use them — not all sleep aids are addictive. Doing a little research on the Internet can help you find the right sleep aid.

It IS, however, important to understand that sleeping pills are not for grabbing a quick nap and that any intake more than the recommended dosage can be quite harmful.
