Vegas, baby. Vegas. — Vince Vaughan, Swingers

For some resaon, the very mention of Las Vegas brings about an immediate change in my outlook. Not just for its nightlife or gaming–the city actually is alive.

The Strip

There’s something about Vegas that’s unforgettable. You may try and follow the adage “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” but me, I carry it with me. For starters, take the Downtown, where all the fun began a century ago, or the Fremont Street Experience, a spectacular $70-million canopy of light and sound, stretching along four blocks of Fremont Street amidst historic hotels and casinos.

And then you start feeling that The Strip, with its kaleidoscopic neons make you feel that you’re living in pure imagination. The laser beam that penetrates the sky is so powerful it can be spotted from space. And then the roulette wheels and the blackjack tables beckon you and the night’s over before it even started.

If you’re a first-timer to Vegas, I have just one tip for you: Please don’t waste a moment! The Vegas season is always on the peak, but more so at this time of the year, so make sure you have your Las Vegas hotel reservations intact.
