It’s a sad fact that a very many of us think — or would like to believe — that popping a couple of pills and laying back and watching TV can build muscles. Well, we know better than that — the only proven way is hard training and adequate intake of the right kind of food. But if you seriously want to build muscle fast, you have muscle building supplements.

The two supplements that can help you in building muscles are protein and creatine. The consumption of protein, considered a fundamental constituent of muscle fiber, should be at least 1 to 1.5 grams for each pound of the weight of your body. For example, if your weight is 120 pounds, then an intake of 120 to 180 grams of protein every day would be ideal.

The other common supplement, creatine — found in protein shakes — is used in tandem with bodybuilding workout plans. There are also many other supplements that claim to build muscle mass fat and lose fat efficiently, but watch out for ones that are illegal. While men and women can definitely benefit from using supplements available off-the-shelf in their diet, it is important to remember that these formulations should be taken with a proper high-protein diet without replacing real food.
