Bringing Back Family Fun
Posted by admin in Homes, Lifestyle, tags: Family fun, Games, Ping pong tableIt appears like everyone has an agenda lately. Not that it’s not good to have an agenda, but it has become a way of life. Where does everyone in the family disappear? How come family dinners are scheduled only for Thanksgiving? And whatever happened to spontaneity?
Frankly, it’s no fun to list things that can be blamed — it could be term papers or that VIP office guest or dates or getting ready to meet a hundred different deadlines. What I’m trying to say is of course, where are the basic family values? And family fun? By family fun, I don’t necessarily mean taking long family vacations. Perhaps, to some, even that can be taxing.
I believe that family fun should be as simple as possible, essentially an activity just enough to take your mind off ’serious’ / mundane stuff, and bring some laughter and good-natured competitiveness. A swimming pool can do that, but not everyone can have the space for it or the means to maintain one. On the other hand, any game that involves physical activity can be a great booster for families to come together.

It’s not a big deal to prepare some area in the house or the garage and call it the games area. You could set up a pool table or a ping pong table and have loads of fun any time of the day. Perhaps families could even set up teams and win gifts and trophies. When it comes to game tables, the options are fantastic. You get indoor/outdoor ping pong tables, foldable, all-weather or simple recreation ping pong tables.
The whole idea, of course, is to build up family interaction, while also learning team spirit, responsibility, discipline and, more importantly, a way to love and respect your family members. Besides, these fun moments can be cherished forever.
