With the approach to interior decor getting an increasingly contemporary look and feel, it’s not surprising that a number of materials are being used for flooring. And when it comes to the tile, you find that you have options such as porcelain, glass and even metal.

However, the traditional in me has always stuck with the safe yet stylish ceramic tiles. Not that I wouldn’t like to experiment, but that ceramic tiles are proven, and claim a number of advantages over their counterparts.

For one, they can make a living room come alive with the sheer gleam of the floor. Other than the style part, they’re easy to maintain, almost service free I might add. And of course, they’re adaptable to any room including the kitchen and the balcony, and can easily laid wall to wall. Durability is yet another strong point in the favor of ceramic tiles, not to mention ease of installation and cost effectiveness.
