It’s often said that fashion goes out of style, but class, never. In the same breath, I can say that a tuxedo is a tuxedo, irreplaceable. tuxedos are formal wear, of course, but in that context, it can never go wrong.
You do find different kinds of tuxedos, but for different occasions, but a ‘pedigree’ tux will have a cummerbund, bow tie and matching trousers. Just take a little care to coordinate the different aspects of a tux, and you can’t fail to impress.
You find lapel styles differing in special types of tuxedos, so you might want to double check on what the occasion calls for. Single breasted tuxedos are considered rather casual, while double breasted are on the other end of the line — extremely formal. Consider the tails as well — some events need full tails, while others may be a little less demanding.
