There are games and there are personalized games. Not too long ago, we had to play a video game by a set of rules create by someone else, in preset parameters. Lately, there is a paradigm shift on how you play your game — you decide who you play against and under what circumstances.
Thankfully, Microsot’s new XBox 360 allows for a high level of personalization. For instance, it offers an ‘intelligent’ console, which lets you alter the look and sound effects of the game scenario. The new Xbox lets you experience high-definition (HD), allowing users to stream HD TV and movies from their computer to the Xbox 360.
Players can also change the look and feel of the console by making use of the interchangeable faces. You can download skins, extra levels, even offers a gateway to connect to music downloads and friends. At the moment, the Xbox 360 is being hailed as the ‘next generation’, but I have a feeling that the next ‘next generation’ may not be as far away as we think.
