We generally tend to believe that valuable items are best kept safe in some sort of box. And we do have different boxes for different types of valuables — jewelry boxes, valet boxes, cuff link boxes, tie tack and watch boxes and so on. But little do we realize that a box can be only as safe as the lock that holds it together.

What you’d be looking for are positive, secure holding devices that are user-friendly and preferably use a “tool-less” technology. These are provided by ball lock pins. They operate on a principle of interlocking balls, which will not release until the button on the handle is depressed. Only then, the balls retract into the pin allowing the pin to be removed from the hole. Their high-strength stiff mechanical stop prevents the pin from being removed unless the release button on the handle is depressed.
